I've also updated the film's website to include a page with some links to more information about the Wild & Scenic River Act and the Ontonagon Rivers. In addition, I've added a fundraising page. People have asked how they can help and let them know if I need any help financially with this project. I do need help, but like a lot of Yoopers, I hate asking for it. So, I sucked up my pride and created a fundraising page through Indiegogo. All money donated will go towards equipment, transportation/gas, and paying some talented people to help me shoot this film. Once it's complete any remaining funds will go toward film festival entry fees and DVDs. I've also included great perks to those who donate! If you see my "Contributors" page, I've had 3 donations so far! Thanks ladies!! I know times are tight for a lot of people. If you cannot afford to donate, spreading the word to others is a great help.
A gentleman I met at the Predator Roundup registration emailed me some great photos from the South Branch of the Ontonagon River when he was out snowmobiling this weekend. A lot of people who are out enjoying these rivers because of their wild and scenic qualities are in favor of leaving these leased camps along the rivers. They serve a purpose as safe havens in case of emergencies or just to warm up your cold fingers and toes on a winter day.
